Multiclass

Category: Multiclassing Tier: Journeyman Prerequisites: None on first purchase. Each subsequent purchase requires the previous stack and that the feature you are purchasing has no prerequisites you do not meet. Limitation: This Perk may be taken up to 5 times, all within the same Secondary Class.

⚠️ All features, abilities, and spells gained through this Perk scale using your Primary Class Tier, not a Secondary Class Level.

On your first purchase, declare your Secondary Class. This choice is permanent and cannot be changed.

Each purchase of this Perk grants one Class Feature or Path Feature from your Secondary Class, subject to the following restrictions:

  • The feature must be from a Tier strictly lower than your current Primary Class Tier.
  • The feature must be at or below Level 8 of the Secondary Class.
  • You must meet any “implicit prerequisites” for the feature (e.g. you cannot take a Barbarian feature that interacts with Rage without already having the Rage feature).
  • You may defer your Secondary Path selection until you would take a Journeyman or higher Path Feature. Once chosen, your Path is permanent.
Spellcasting Secondary Classes

If your Secondary Class is a spellcasting class, the following additional rules apply.

Upon taking your first Multiclass Perk, you immediately gain spellcasting ability, 4 Novice and 2 Apprentice spells from your Secondary Class’s spell list, and a Mana Pool calculated using half your Primary Class Level on the Spellcasting Advancement Table. From this point forward you learn 1 new spell from your Secondary Class’s spell list per Primary Class Level gained (instead of the usual 2 spells per level a dedicated spellcasting class would receive).

Your 2nd Multiclass Perk additionally unlocks Journeyman spells from your Secondary Class’s spell list. Journeyman is the maximum Spell Tier available through multiclassing regardless of how many Multiclass Perks you have purchased.
